Eh? I think it’s actually perfectly reasonable for him to suspect Yuushun, IMO. It’s actually weirder that none of Ryuuki’s group suspected him up til now.

Personally, I think not… The part about the surveys is actually explained later in book 15.

wahh yuushun’s very intimidating when he wants to be. but m a bit dissapointed in seiran because of his calculative ways and not trusting others completely. “You’re making a face as if you had seen a monster.” ~ seiran shouldn’t have looked that way or become too untrusting to yuushun. but maybe that’s because of his past y’know. him getting exiled for something he didn’t do causing him to be suspicious of people. yuushun may also be one of the 8 sages ryt?? ~ “The results of gigantic surveys spanning generations”

thanks so much for this. Yuushun is too scary and speaks in riddles. I hope Seiran is on to him. But if I remember correctly, Yuushun used to be the lieutenant governor of Sa province, I thought he was supposed to be a good guy, no?

Oh, no Ryuuki …

One question, in the following sentence – I assume it’s a typo, “each” should be “teach”?

This seems to illustrate Senka’s view of Seiran as needing to be just a little more smart or a little more foolish. Seiran is more perceptive than Ryuuki but not nearly as sharp as Yuushun or a few others. Ryuuki is less perceptive but in being a bit more naive is also more trusting and that’s important in a ruler. If you can’t figure it all out for yourself you need others and they have to be willing to serve you. He may be scary but I still like Yuushun – I think he’s been honest when he says he’s devoted to the king. But I guess we’ll see…
