Hello. I believe it was the fan which attracted Kanshou? There's Yin and Yang afterall.

I can’t really be sure either. I would think that the person would represent the opposite characteristic to the sword, but maybe they’re supposed represent the same characteristic as the sword? Either way, it’s not explained enough. XD But perhaps we’ll get more insight if they actually use the swords for something.

Haha, yeah, I knew that Kanshou was yang and Byakuya was yin. I realize I may not have been completely clear in what I was saying.

That’s why I was wondering because I remember that Seiran gave Ryuuki Byakuya because it was “yin” and therefore would be more malleable to his will? Or less likely to reject him because Ryuuki being male and Byakuya being yin would balance things out? So I wondered if Uu Uu was surprised because they took the sword which signified them, meaning Shuuei took Kanshou because he’s Yang and Jin is Yin, and therefore Uu Uu was surprised because he expected Shuuei to be “Yin” and Jin to be “Yang”. Or if it was the opposite, Shuuei has Yin qualities and Uu Uu expected him to have more Yang qualities. It’s just weird that the author decided to point out that Uu Uu was surprised by their unhesitant choices, as if that’s supposed to mean something about the characters.

I’m not sure exactly what this signifies, though. Usually Seiran has Kanshou and Ryuuki has Bakuya, though.

Does this mean that each sword’s affiliation reflects these attributes? I just wanted to be certain because I first thought that they were taking their opposites. XD

I can’t remember how they dealt with it in the previous scenes where the two Rious apears at the same time…I don’t have the books with me now. I’ll check it when I get home later in the month. ^^

One question: regarding what the blue immortal said: “we will not help you. We will only watch, as always. You must pay your bills by yourself.”

Is it “we” that he said? Plural? Then to me it may refer to him and other immortals.

And does the “you/yourself” also have a plural meaning?

In the official translation, they just use the same characters. However, in fan translations and discussions, we would use 大璃樱/小璃樱。
