Probably there will be that, yet I still don’t see why the Ran clan would want to help Ryuuki at all. The author sure takes her time dealing with the pieces she has on the board already. There hasn’t even been much progress on whatever is going on w/ Karin.

I hope there would be introduction of new chess pieces in the next book to inject some freshness into the plot. It is rather stale to keep on seeing Team Ou Ki beat Team Ryuuki at every possible turn so far. I wonder if the setup involving Shouka and the Ran triplets a couple of books back would be put to use next book?

The politics are getting more and more muddled, but it gets more interesting at the same time. I am curious though, what about Sakujun’s plans. What will he do? Will he be like Riou Sr. towards Bara-hime to Shuurei (*whisper* stalker *whisper*).

one thing is resolved but another question is raised. I wonder how many books saiunkoku would take.
